Equator: It is an imaginary line located at 0 degrees latitude, halfway between the North and South poles. The Equator divides Earth into the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

Prime meridian: A prime meridian is an arbitrary meridian in a geographic coordinate system at which longitude is defined to be. Prime meridian divides Earth into the western and Eastern hemispheres.

Longitude: The lines related to the prime meridian are longitude lines.

The Gulf of Guinea is the northeasternmost part of the tropical Atlantic. The intersection of the Equator and Prime Meridian is in the gulf.
